Our Commitment to Sustainability
Our commitment is to long-term sustainability and responsible business practices. We are committed to doing everything in our power to discover and learn as much as we can to make the best decisions we can for the earth, for our customers and our business. We operate with integrity in our relationships and we are committed to our social and environmental responsibility throughout our business operations. These standards are fundamental to our values as a business and we strive to ensure we work with partners who share this commitment. Our path to sustainability is a journey of learning and discovery and we understand that this is our corporate responsibility. We don’t claim to have all the answers or capabilities to tick every box, but we are doing everything in our power to understand our supply chain, make the most sustainable decisions we can, understand our risk areas, offset our carbon emissions and trace our materials back to source.

Materials & Environmental Standards
Our Summer Poplin is a luxurious cotton fabric made from certified organic cotton, a natural fibre that is strong and breathable. Certified organic farming eliminates the use of toxic and persistent chemicals, increases soil health and improves biodiversity.
Organic farming uses significantly less water, as the majority of crops are rain-fed which increases water conservation.
Our Summer Poplin is processed in a Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified supply chain. The GOTS certification gives us assurance that high social and environmental standards are met along the entire fabric processing supply chain, including a ban on toxic and harmful chemicals, strong social compliance management systems and strict wastewater treatment practices.
Our summer poplin also meets Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex certification which ensures there are no harmful chemical substances in the finished fabric before it comes to our workroom.
Our Cotton Silk is a blend of 70% certified organic cotton and 30% silk resulting in a breathable and luxurious fabric. Certified organic cotton eliminates the use of toxic and persistent chemicals, increases soil health and improves biodiversity. Organic farming uses significantly less water, as the majority of crops are rain-fed which increases water conservation.

Our Silk fabric is made from 100% organic mulberry silk, a lustrous and luxurious fibre with high tensile strength. Silk is a natural and renewable fibre that forms on a cocoon as a natural part of the life cycle of the Bombyx Mori silkworm. Silkworms feed on Mulberry leaves and, in general, require no chemical pesticide or fertilisers to manage.
Our silk is manufactured in China where the majority of the world’s silk trade occurs. Silk cultivation has been occurring for thousands of years in China and can be an important vehicle for achieving the Sustainable Development goals with more than 60 per cent of sericulture income flowing back to farmers. Our silk supply chain is based on a regenerative agriculture system that is certified organic.
The fabric is also Bluesign approved, which provides for strict controls on chemicals management, water use and emissions.
Nylon is a strong, resilient fibre, quick drying with excellent performance characteristics, making it ideal for our swimwear. Our plain swimwear is produced with Repreve recycled nylon yarn made from waste that is generated in the fibre manufacturing process. Our printed swimwear is made with Econyl, a 100% Nylon yarn made from waste, including waste from fishing nets from the ocean, fabric scraps and industrial plastic.
Our crinkle textured swimwear is made using Q-Nova, which is produced from post-industrial Nylon waste generated in the yarn production cycle. Our printed and crinkle textured swimwear are lined in the same Repreve recycled nylon that we use in our plain swimwear. Using a recycled nylon replaces the need for primary extraction of crude oil and waste materials are used to manufacture it, thereby reducing landfill disposal and creating a circular system.
